A New Year a New Look
"Change has considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful, it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful, it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident, it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."
King Whitney, Jr., President, Personnel Laboratory, Inc.

I have joined the BFL&S team during an exciting and inspiring time of change in the printed products industry. Demands for automation and one-stop solutions are prompting high-tech innovations and non-traditional product expansion by distributors at an accelerated pace. And, while distributors hustle to meet their clients' changing needs, shakeups in the corporate structure of suppliers and distributors continue with even greater velocity. 2005 presented many questions to the printed products community, but offered few answers. Now, as the dust settles, a clearer picture is coming into focus of what the industry can expect in 2006.
As the printed products marketplace continues its transformation, we here at BFL&S complete our transition. It is with great pride that I take the helm of BFL&S Magazine, a leading source of information to the industry for over four decades. I look forward to continuing the strong tradition of high-quality content and am pleased to bring a fresh new look to our readership.
While times of change may present certain obstacles, these times also invite creativity, prosperity and growth. With a positive eye to the future, I invite you to delve into the January 2006 issue of Business Forms, Labels & Systems.
