Midlothian, Texas-based Ennis announced the acquisition of Trade Envelopes, Carol Stream, Ill., in response to distributor requests for an envelope supplier to service the Midwest and Southeastern United States. Established in 1972, Trade Envelopes offers up to four-color process printing, lithography and flexography capabilities.
With two full-service locations—one in Tullahoma, Tenn., and one in Carol Stream, Ill.—Trade Envelopes serves resellers across the nation.
The acquisition by Ennis will provide the capital and customer base Trade Envelopes needs to grow and develop the wholesale envelope business in the area east of the Rockies. Ennis aggressively entered the envelope market with the 2006 acquisition of Block Graphics, and the acquisition of Trade Envelopes expands and strengthens this product line for Ennis.
In addition, Admore (www.admoreonline.com), Macomb, Mich., is celebrating 60 years of excellence in manufacturing premium presentation folders. Admore joined Ennis in 1991, and has expanded its product line throughout the years to include stock and custom presentation folders; key and gift card holders; portfolios; certificate covers; binders; totes; CD/DVD packaging; photo holders; and Conformer Expansion Products. The company’s printing capabilities include PMS, process and UV printing, foil stamping, embossing, laminating and UV coatings.
