American Roller and Plasma Coatings Company, Union Grove, Wis., has invested in a state-of-the-art Danobat CNC Cylindrical Grinder for its new manufacturing facility currently under construction. The introduction of this modern piece of equipment will provide the highest level of grinding tolerance capabilities, while ensuring plant quality and throughput expectations. It also improves the company's competitive edge by allowing expansion, in both volume and accuracy, of tight tolerance grinding capabilities.
"This is a significant investment for our new Union Grove factory. Our primary and secondary grinders have been in service for years, operating at a minimum of two shifts daily, often running three shifts," said Randy Mittelstaedt, operations manager-coatings group at American Roller. "With our customers' increasing tolerance specifications, the purchase of this grinder allows us to remain capable of meeting our customer requirements."
The advantages of this new machine are remarkable, allowing for multiple programming capabilities, tighter tolerances, and higher quality. The target is to purchase and install the grinder by October 2014 as one of the first pieces of equipment in the new facility. This and other new equipment total more than $1.4 million in capital investments within the new $4.5 million facility.
