Neither snow nor sleet prevented American Solutions for Business (ASB), Glenwood, Minn., from holding its Extreme American National Sales Conference Feb. 28 through March 4 at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis. In keeping with the theme, Mother Nature dumped 15 inches of snow during an extreme winter storm, cancelling 400 flights at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Still, 400 sales associates participated in daily seminars and workshops lead by industry leaders, vendor partners and ASB personnel. In addition, 200 vendors exhibited at the trade show.
During the Extreme Drama presented at the general session, ASB sales associate Dennis Lindblad shared the story of his extreme comeback after suffering a near-fatal brain hemorrhage in 2005 that left him with limited speech and mobility. Richard Ward of River’s End Trading Company, an ASB vendor partner, discussed his company’s extreme makeover, including name changes from LA Loving to Trimark Sportswear Group and now River’s End, subsequent new ownership and management, a new culture and a new IT system.
