David Ashkenaz, owner and principal of Ashkenaz Consulting today announced he has started his 13th year as an Independent PrintSmith Consultant helping printers install, use and upgrade their PrintSmith Management Systems.
Ashkenaz started in the printing business in 1972, and in 1979 owned and operated a print shop in Florida. Later taking the one single location to five locations and being on of the Top 100 Quick Printers in the US. After he sold his locations, he learned PrintSmith and started to do some consulting work for fellow printers. With Ashkenaz's in-depth, hands on printing experience, it makes him a "natural" to do PrintSmith consulting. PrintSmith users love the fact that Ashkenaz not only understand the finest complexities of PrintSmith, but their business as well. Very few computer consultants better understand both the strengths of the application and the printing business.
"In my case, I walk into a client's office and within minutes I am asking questions that every printers need to ask." Ashkenaz is also well versed in Report Writer, Scheduler and Tracker. These are the 3 crucial peripherals to the standard PrintSmith program.
Today, Ashkenaz also announced the start of his PrintSmith Users Support Program, or PUSH. For an annual fee, PrintSmith users can call virtually 24/7 and get answers to questions on PrintSmith. This is a dedicated line manned by Ashkenaz himself for personal service from one of the foremost experts in the industry.
This new service will require a yearly fee and Ashkenaz reports that about 95 percent of the calls can be handled immediately. He notes that about 5 percent of all calls require PrintSmith direct programming support.
