Flesh Co Releases Integrated Blood Bag Labels
Flesh Co, St. Louis, recently announced the launch of a new integrated blood bag label that utilizes FDA-compliant adhesive. Integrated formats may vary in size and design, though most are expected to be laser cut-sheet applications.
“This new application will allow our distributors to offer an alternative to traditional blood bag labels which, in the past, were typical pressure-sensitive designs in roll formats,” said Mark Gerling, Flesh Co’s executive vice president sales and marketing. “Medical centers, hospitals and other locations that handle blood bags will now be able to generate a laser-printed document with a matching blood bag label in one sheet. This improves the efficiency of a process that uses a document and a label as two separate components. Maintaining accuracy and a strong chain-of-custody in these applications is critical.”
