Government and Education Digital Printing Forum Coming Soon
INTERQUEST, a leading market and technology research and consulting firm in digital printing and publishing, announced an impressive roster of presenters for its 2010 Digital Printing in Government and Higher Education Forum, which will focus on the current and future state of digital printing in these two environments.
The seminar will take place in Washington D.C. on Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
Michael L. Wash, chief information officer, the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), will keynote the fifth edition of this powerful annual event. He will provide an update on the developments that are enabling the GPO to accelerate its transformation into a 21st century information organization.
Following the keynote address, Gilles Biscos, INTERQUEST president, will present an analysis of key trends in the publishing, print-on-demand, transactional, and graphic arts markets. He will explore recent technological and market developments, discuss the impact of the latest vendor announcements, and examine future changes along with the synergy between paper and electronic communication.
The last morning session will feature leading edge government and higher education users who will present how they are leveraging new digital printing technology to improve productivity, reduce cost, and enhance the documents they produce. Speakers will include Douglas Maxwell, director print & mail production center, Brigham Young University; and Jane Bloodworth, manager, General Service Department's Printing, Graphics and Map Design Unit, the World Bank.
After lunch, a "Leading Vendors Strategies Panel" will kick off the afternoon portion of the program. Speakers will include Blake McMahan, National Enterprise In-Plant Specialist, North America, Hewlett-Packard; Steve Anderson, Manager, Software and Professional Services, US Sales, InfoPrint Solutions; Eric Kempton, Director, Education Business Development, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems; and Lynn McGunnigle, Production Color Solutions Executive, Xerox. The speakers will provide updates on their companies and strategies in the government and higher education markets.
