Headquartered in McCook, Ill., GPA has announced a new tool designed to help customers navigate the many options they have when selecting a synthetic film: GPA’s Plastic & Synthetic Film Recycling Guide.
This guide features the resin identification coding system, which was introduced to meet the need for a nationwide, uniform system of identifying plastics for both manufacturers and recyclers.
GPA created the guide to help its customers gain a clearer understanding of the different types of plastics that exist and the various levels of recyclability. The guide details the different names of each product, the types of printable substrates and consumer products that are created from each, as well as the physical properties and characteristics of each type of plastic to help customers make sustainable choices for their applications.
The guide is printed on Ultra Digital® 12 Mil Synthetic Paper for added durability, which also is classified as a #5 plastic.
GPA is the premier source for specialty substrates and solutions for offset and digital printing.
To request your free copy of the guide, call (800) 395-9000 or visit www.askgpa.com.
