In support of its Capture Business Success program, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Palo Alto, Calif., is hitting the road to help commercial, quick and franchise print service providers (PSPs) get on the fast track to new and growing profit opportunities in digital printing.
During its tour of various cities, HP will conduct in-depth discussions of how digital technologies—such as the flagship HP Indigo press 5000—are generating more sales with more profitable rates of return for printers and their customers. The seminars are open to existing HP Indigo customers, as well as PSPs interested in learning more about the benefits of digital printing.
“Our Capture Business Success program is 100 percent focused on enhancing the capabilities of our customers to target the new, profitable applications that are rewriting the rules of successful marketing,” said Francis McMahon, director of marketing, Graphic Arts Organization, HP. “Many of our customers are no longer limited to a single, static, medium; they are selling marketing services that include personalization, Web development, fulfillment and more, and the deeper integration they make as marketing service providers is one of the big trends driving overall industry growth.”
Several HP Indigo press 5000 customers who are also HP Indigo Premier Accounts and members of the Digital Solutions Cooperative users group are speaking at the GO Digital series. In addition to the customer presentations, the GO Digital series will focus on value-add applications, including technologies and media selections that enhance print service providers’ end-to-end capabilities in variable-data printing.
The GO Digital tour will not only promote the best personalization marketing technologies, it will be promoted through a comprehensive campaign to prospective attendees that puts these technologies to use. HP Indigo-printed direct-mail pieces produced for the tour include links to personalized URLs (purls) developed by MindFireInc. Each mail piece recipient will have a personal Web site with information on the GO Digital series, and attendees will also receive a follow-up mailing and e-newsletter that continues the dialogue on variable-data printing and effective marketing techniques.
