International Exhibit Veteran Joins Graphics of the Americas ?
Miami-based Graphics of the Americas, the largest United States-based annual international graphic communications exhibit and conference showplace, recently announced the addition of Ben Neji, director of operations, to its trade show staff. Neji brings more than 15 years of international event experience to the organization, including sales, marketing and operational expertise.
"Ben will be a tremendous asset to our team and overall organization, allowing us to tap his international and convention experience, as well as his relationships in the industry," said Chris Price, vice president and general manager. "He will be instrumental in broadening the organization's global scope, exhibitors and international buyers in a number of markets worldwide."
Before joining Graphics of the Americas, Neji held the position of vice president of the World Trade Center Miami, a member of the World Trade Centers Association, the preeminent global trade organization promoting two-way trade. Between 2002 and 2005, he was director of the association's annual Americas Food and Beverage Show and Conference, where he was responsible for all aspects of the show and increased exhibit sales by 9 percent during a period of overall decline within the industry.
"I am excited to be joining the Graphics of the Americas team," Neji said. "The organization is experiencing excellent growth, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success."
Neji began his career with Junior Chamber International as director of growth and development for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In this role, he increased membership by 25 percent in Africa and the Middle East, and by 35 percent in Europe. In addition, he established new national Junior Chambers in the former eastern block countries and in Africa. He also managed two annual trade shows and conferences, for a total of eight conferences in eight different countries.
