International Paper Announces Director of Global Diversity & Inclusion

International Paper, Memphis, Tenn., has appointed Cheryl Kern to the role of director of global diversity and inclusion, a position which will require her to strategize methods of inclusion for the organization. “Cheryl brings a unique blend of visionary leadership and creativity that, combined with her extensive career experience, will contribute to making International Paper a stronger, more successful company,” commented Jerry Carter, senior vice president of human resources.

Formerly, Kern was the director of diversity solutions for xpedx, a North American division of International Paper. Kern has also held positions at Xerox and Boise Cascade.
