The IRS has announced it is extending the 2016 due dates for Affordable Care Act (ACA) information reporting. While the deadlines have changed, the requirements are still the same and covered businesses are still obligated to file.
Specifically, businesses now have until:
- March 31, 2016 to supply employees with the 2015 Form 1095-B and Form 1095-C. The previous date was Jan. 31.
- May 31, 2016 to file forms 1095-B and 1095-C with the IRS if submitting paper forms. The previous date was Feb. 29.
- June 30, 2016 to submit forms 1095-B and 1095-C to the IRS if filing electronically. The previous date was March 31.
“This is good news all the way around,” said Richard Roddis, president for ComplyRight, Oxnard, Calif. “The new dates give employers more time to gather the necessary data and submit the required forms to the IRS. But it also gives our partners more opportunity to sell.”
ComplyRight is prepared to help you meet your customers’ ACA needs with a full line of products and services:
Paper forms: These include the 1095-B and 1095-C—as well as transmittal forms 1094-B and 1094-C. All forms are 100 percent IRS approved, and corresponding envelopes are available.
Software: The proprietary ACA Software from ComplyRight is an all-in-one solution to help businesses comply with the new regulations. This software provides all the tools needed to create and print forms 1095-B, 1095-C, 1094-B and 1094-C, as well as e-file the form data with the IRS.
E-File: The e-file website allows employers to enter or import their employee data online. ComplyRight then electronically files ACA reporting forms with the IRS. Plus, businesses can opt to have the company print and mail employee copies.
Print and Mail: For health plan providers, payroll service providers and employers seeking high-volume processing of ACA forms, ComplyRight offers comprehensive print-and-mail services out of our SOC-certified and HIPAA-compliant facility. ComplyRight also can file form data with the IRS for one-stop processing.
“There’s still time for dealers to get on board,” Roddis said. “Many of our partners already have achieved significant ACA sales. It’s exciting to see the success of this brand-new revenue stream.”
