Chicago is Calling
What do President Barack Obama and the printing industry’s biggest show have in common? A special fondness for the “Windy City,” of course. Returning to one of the country’s major hot spots, PSDA will host its annual Print Solutions Conference and Expo from Oct. 13 to 15 at the Navy Pier Convention Center, located in Chicago.
This year’s general session keynote speaker will be Dr. Joe Webb, director of WhatTheyThink’s Economic and Research Center. With 30 years of experience and a reputation as one of the graphic arts industry’s best-known forecasters and commentators, Webb will deliver the cold, hard facts about the current state of the industry. No doubt, this year has been divided by defeats and victories alike, and Webb will provide attendees with vital economic data and his personal take on what to expect in regard to print sales during the next six months. He will also concentrate on the tactics of current profit leaders and the latest technology that could positively influence others’ fiscal future.
In addition, back by popular demand, the Commercial Printing Pavilion will make a repeat performance at the conference. Because commercial printing continues to gain momentum as one of the most notable markets in the industry, the Pavilion is designed to showcase the talents and capabilities of various commercial printers located throughout the United States. Attendees are encouraged to stop by and chat with exhibitors, including Foster Printing Service and Wholesale Color of Kansas, with the goal of possibly expanding their network of commercial printing partners.
Furthermore, there will be a host of educational sessions* to choose from throughout the three-day show. Conference Education highlights will include:
• “VIP Series Education” (Sponsored by Ennis and Glatfelter)
• “Using Facebook and Twitter for Business” (Presented by Dave Kerpen, chief buzz officer, TheKbuzz)
