Leed’s to Hold Prices Through 2011
Even as suppliers face rising costs for manufacturing and importing products, New Kensington-based Leed’s, a member of industry leader Polyconcept North America, has committed to maintaining its current prices through the end of this year. The company determined that holding prices would help distributors continue to grow as the industry gradually gains momentum following the recent economic downturn.
Other efforts to help distributors increase business include an August product launch that includes more than 200 new items, additions to its industry-leading portfolio of retail brands and continued product development around current product trends.
Leed’s USB memory products will continue to be priced on a weekly basis, according to the company’s normal practices. Otherwise, only six styles of cotton totes will receive price adjustments this year effective July 5, due to the extreme volatility of cotton prices.
“While our buying costs have increased over the past 12 months, we believe that maintaining prices is one of the most important investments we can make today in support of our distributors’ businesses,” explained David Nicholson, president at Polyconcept North America. “Holding prices allows us to collectively keep our focus and efforts on pursuing new business and growth opportunities.”
