MGI Digital Graphic Technology Unveils New Digital and Ink Jet Product Lines
With North American headquarters in Melbourne, Fla., MGI Digital Graphic Technology has launched several innovative new products for digital and offset applications targeted toward commercial printers, plastic/card printers and photo finishing.
Among the new equipment is a high-speed, four-color digital press for paper and plastic substrates, a spot UV coater using inkjet technology and an all-in-one printing, laminating, creasing and cutting unit for photofinishing applications.
The Meteor DP60 Pro multi-substrate digital press is the flagship model in the DP60 series. Designed for high-volume printing, it has the capability to produce up to 3,900 letter sheets, 1,600 13x19" sheets and up to 32,000 ISO CR-80 PVC plastic cards hourly, in four colors with full variable data. The Meteor DP60 Pro can print on a wide range of paper and plastic substrates.
Unique features of the Meteor DP60 Pro include:
• Vibration Reduction System
• Climate Control System utilizing an infrared module to pre-treat substrate surfaces, which regulates temperature and humidity prior to printing
• High capacity pneumatic loader, which accommodates up to 3,000 13x19" sheets of paper or plastic
• Optional high pile output stacker with a capacity of up to 6,000 sheets
• Adjustable offset feeder table to ensure precise registration (± 0.2mm).
The perfect complement to digital or offset printed substrates, MGI’s revolutionary JetVarnish offline spot UV coater uses inkjet technology to ensure precise spot coverage. The JetVarnish is targeted toward high-speed and large format applications, with an integrated infrared dryer to enable turnkey production.
Ideally suited for photo book production, the Meteor DP20 is an all-in-one printing, laminating, creasing and cutting unit. Photos are printed in resolutions up to 1,800 dpi, on sheet sizes up to 11x17" with an output of 20 pages/minute. This inline unit allows for seamless production and turnaround of photo products in as little as one hour.
