MGI Meteor DP60 Pro Helps Olympus Press Expand Digital Capabilities

Seattle-based Olympus Press has expanded its business into new digital markets with the addition of MGI’s Meteor DP60 Pro four-color, multi-substrate digital press.

Olympus Press has been dedicated to producing the highest quality printed products since 1968. With a full range of in-house printing, finishing and fulfillment services, Olympus Press is a leader in high-definition printing and is strongly committed to environmental sustainability. The company services many types of commercial accounts, ranging from small businesses to major national corporations.

While Olympus Press’ overall business remained strong, many of its clients were looking for digitally printed products to supplement their existing offset orders.

“There are many excellent digital printers in the Seattle market, but we saw an opportunity with the Meteor DP60 Pro to provide a whole new range of digital services,” said Glenn Blue, co-owner of Olympus Press. “The press offers so many unique digital capabilities that were a perfect complement to our existing offset. For example, our customers are used to a 40" sheet length, and the Meteor DP60 Pro’s extended sheet sizes allowed us to migrate many of those jobs to digital for shorter runs.”
