New Jersey Business Forms (NJBF) is putting the finishing touches on a new 563kW roof-mounted solar power system on its plant in Englewood, N.J. The 55,000-square-foot solar array will provide enough electricity to power 100 percent of Hampshire Label’s daytime production. Hampshire Label is NJBF’s label and packaging division, located in the Englewood plant.
“The reduction in our daytime electricity use, combined with N.J. state solar/renewable energy incentives and the accelerated depreciation benefit from the IRS, result in a ROI of less than four years,” said Andrew Harnett, vice president of NJBF. “Even better is we are now able to offer our customers label and flexible packaging products produced [with] 100 percent solar power during daytime hours.”
NJBF’s production will also benefit from reduced electricity costs as the system generates electricity in excess of what is needed by Hampshire Label alone.
NJBF and Hampshire Label are part of a three-company group, which includes InfoSeal LLC, located in Roanoke, Va.
Contact Harnett at NJBF/Hampshire Label for more information on “Labels Powered by the Sun.” Special offer: Request daytime production of your label or flexible packaging order, and receive a 7.5 percent reduction from the quoted price. Some rules apply.
