A technical paper on new high-performance, UV-curable acrylic hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) will be presented at the Tech 30 Global Conference VI in Orlando, Fla., May 14 to 16, by Dr. Graeme A. Roan of National Adhesives, Bridgewater, N.J.
The paper will explain why the adhesives represent the next generation of high-performance PSAs, and how they provide a genuine, technically and commercially viable alternative to solvent-containing PSAs in industrial tape applications. The adhesives can be cured efficiently with relatively low doses of UV light, giving rise to reliable, reproducible performance tapes with excellent depth of cure across the range of industrial tapes.
