PACCESS Signs Agreement with Green Shipping

Portland, Oregon-based PACCESS has signed an agreement with Green Shipping, a Hood River company that provides analytical tools to measure greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) for the transportation segment of the supply chain. Transport-related activities in the supply chain are commonly known as “Scope 3” emissions, and its measurement will allow PACCESS to gauge its own carbon footprint, as well as help its customers manage GHG for packaged goods manufactured in Asia.

PACCESS manages packaging design, development and supply for numerous international consumer brands in product categories such as footwear, sports and equipment, fashion and apparel, technology and home goods. For many of its customers, corporate social responsibility goals have motivated them to support sustainable business practices. Green Shipping’s tools bring real, bottom-line value because the emission data is a lens to identify inefficiencies in the supply chain.

In its daily operations, PACCESS also will be able to calculate emissions and determine its own carbon footprint, and purchase carbon offsets to reduce its impact on the environment.
