PaperWorks Names New President and CEO

Kevin Kwilinski has been appointed as the president and chief executive officer of Philadelphia-based PaperWorks Industries Inc., effective immediately. PaperWorks is an operating company of Sun Capital Partners, Boca Raton, Fla.

Kwilinski brings a wealth of experience in operations and engineering to his new role. Most recently, he spent more than four years as president and CEO of Portola Packaging in Batavia, Ill. Portola, acquired by Silgan Holdings in October, is a manufacturer of stock and custom tamper-evident plastic closures and containers for dairy, juice and other food segments.

Prior to this, Kwilinski worked for Graphic Packaging International (GPI) where he held numerous leadership roles, including senior vice president - supply chain. He also served as director, sales and manufacturing for GPI's Beverage Division, headquartered in Golden, Colo.
