Acquisition-minded Southern California-based PDF Print Communications today announced that it has acquired Camarillo, California-based Bestforms. The transaction was completed effective with the first business day of June 2020.
“We are delighted to announce this acquisition as an expansion of our business in the Southwest and more specifically the greater Los Angeles area, which is the second largest metro in the USA,” said Kevin Mullaney, president of PDF Print Communications. “Bestforms, however, has been more of a national competitor selling to the trade just as we do, but there was not much overlap between our customer base and theirs. Bestforms has some incredibly unique pieces of equipment and capabilities that will both complement and enhance what we already have in our SoCal, NorCal, Phoenix and Madison, Wisconsin plants.”
"Majority-owner Ron Eisele and I are pleased that Bestforms will be joining the PDF Print Communications family of companies,” said Joe Valdez, president and a minority owner of Bestforms. “We have a great deal of respect for Kevin Mullaney and his team, and I know they will build on long-standing relationships with our customers, which include printers, distributors and resellers. The acquisition will continue to benefit our customer base with reliability, quality, prompt service and innovative solutions, and bring many additional product capabilities and plant locations that PDF Print [Communications] has to our existing customers.”
This is the 8th acquisition in the last four years for PDF Print Communications and should push sales to around the $35MM mark on a go-forward 12-month basis. Valdez will remain in his position as president of Bestforms, and the Bestforms name will continue to be used going forward, but as a “PDF Print Communications Company.”
Corporate Development Associates served as the financial advisor to PDF Print Communications.
