Environmental awareness is growing by leaps and bounds—or by leaves and bonds, if you will. Manufacturers are rushing to market with exciting, new additions to their product lines created from eco-friendly stocks.
Because the current demand for eco-friendly products is originating at a corporate level, manufacturers and distributors must be able to supply appropriate solutions to maintain key accounts—which brings us to this month’s mystery feature. A traditional product and an industry staple, it continues to serve a variety of applications, but with a new attitude.
Check out the following clues to guess what the product is:
• It can be used in inkjet and laser printers, as well as copiers.
• It is specifically designed to bring attention to the cause while helping the environment.
• It proves that what was once old can be new again.
mystery product revealed
Elgin, Illinois-based Continental Datalabel recently introduced its new recycled label, which is also recyclable. And, with the recycle logo printed on each and every label, it also helps to create awareness of eco-issues.
Sold under the Compulabel brand, the labels feature a face sheet made of 100 percent post-consumer fiber and a repulpable adhesive. They are not only made from recycled material, they can be recycled as well. Another plus—they are safe and effective in both inkjet and laser printers and in copiers, too.
The labels are available in six sizes, including 25/8x1”, 4x1”, 4x2”, 4x31⁄3 “, 41⁄4x51⁄2” and 81⁄2x51⁄2”.
The products are a must-sell to the government, education market, utilities and other eco-aware end-users.
Continental Datalabel is a wholesale manufacturer of sheeted, thermal and pinfeed label and card products, specializing in custom orders. In addition to Elgin, the company has distribution facilities in Ga., Texas and N.J., as well as a manufacturing/distribution facility in Calif.
