rave7™ announced an enhanced self-service feature set for its integrated rave7™ LCM Suite. This latest release (rave7™ v 8.1) further simplifies the ability of both customer licensees and print/marketing service providers who use the rave7™ LCM Suite to securely create and manage multi-channel marketing programs, promotional web properties, digital storefronts and customer service operations, all driven by common integrated central CRM (Contact Relationship Management) and CMS (Content/Digital Asset Management) engines.
rave7™ v 8.1 enhances the security of the applications and data developed within rave7™ through expanded access permission hierarchy automation. rave7™ CRM has traditionally enabled licensee system administrators to define their own access permission levels in support of their particular internal business processes. This new release once again improves flexibility in customizing the CRM profile template to specific requirements, and assigning permissions either by individual user or group of users (e.g., internal teams or departments, sales or geographical regions, external partner or agent groups, etc.).
This new enhanced security structure extends the scope of group level definitions and the flexibility of automating user access directly from within the main Administrator Console, automatically restricting access to only the appropriate rave7™ modules, applications, content and data that users have been assigned access permission for, right down to the record and page level.
The new functionality simplifies the access security process by having the rave7™ user login directly access the expanded user’s CRM-based security profile, now without requiring the system administrator to also set security levels within the actual applications or content.
For direct customer licensees, this ensures the security of data and content by automatically restricting access for various individual users and groups only to what is relevant to them (e.g., marketing or sales assets, regional or specific sales rep customer CRM records, restricted access web pages, documentation or collateral).
For the print or marketing service provider the core security model is extended to enable single setup CRM profile-driven access control by individual service provider client as well as by group within the individual client.
A practical example could be access to an online digital storefront or catalog for printed products and marketing collateral. From a single initial CRM profile setup process, user access can automatically be controlled to specific rave7™ modules, e-commerce web pages or shopping carts, products or groups of products, group or regional versions of products, online personalization features, epayment terms or credit limits.
This flexibility simplifies the self-service administrative tasks of the rave7™ licensee system administrator, and ensures data and content security even while expanding the scope of user access profiling.
