Reilly Delivers Keynote Address at Printing Seminar
Paul Reilly, president and CEO of Englewood, Colorado-based Cenveo, called for new ways to help printers differentiate themselves, in a keynote address at the 30th Annual Productivity in the Pressroom Seminar held in Chicago.
In his presentation titled "Differentiating Print," Reilly said that advances in production technology are making it difficult for printers to distinguish themselves solely on the basis of quality. "Technology has developed to the point where printing is push-button, which tends to make all printers look alike," he explained. "This puts pressure on our pricing, and it obliges us to ask equipment manufacturers to lower their prices to us."
He encouraged suppliers to partner with their customers in developing technologies that enable customers to offer unique solutions.
Cenveo provides visual communications, with services from design through fulfillment. The company serves direct customers through its commercial segment, and distributors and resellers through its Quality Park resale segment.
