Safeguard Honored as Bronze and Gold Winner at 16th Annual Stevie American Business Awards Gala
Safeguard Business Systems, an affiliate of the Deluxe Corporation and the provider of products, services and expertise designed to help businesses across North America grow, has been honored in four separate categories by one of the world’s premier business organizations. Safeguard was named the winner of four Stevie Awards in the “Best Marketing or Sales Brochure or Kit,” “Customer Service Department of the Year,” “Customer Service Team of the Year” and “Internal Corporate Communications Program of the Year” categories.
The recognitions, announced in May, will be presented at the 16th Annual Stevie American Business Awards Gala at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on June 11, 2018.
Safeguard’s most notable distinction, a prestigious Gold Stevie Award, was given to its Customer Service and Operations – Promo and Apparel Team for the “Customer Service Team of the Year.” As the department responsible for keeping franchisees up to speed on the latest industry trends, the team decided to create a number of ongoing training tools for distributors and their employees, including an internal newsletter “In the Know With Promo,” a weekly webinar called “Fired Up Fridays” and a video series that educates franchisees on new products. The team also hosted in-person educational sessions at a number of industry events, getting Safeguard’s team in front of more than 150 franchisees, industry veterans and experts.
The Safeguard Sales and Support Team achieved positive results after launching a new training manual including increased revenue in various product categories. The 214-page Sales Tools and Resources Toolkit acts as an interactive, online resource to help guide representatives through every phase of bringing a prospect through the sales process—from researching accounts to closing a sale and asking for referrals. This accomplishment earned Safeguard the Bronze Stevie Award for Best Marketing or Sales Brochure or Kit.
Safeguard also won a Bronze Stevie Award for “Customer Service Department of the Year” as it further enacted its "customer-first" approach and spent significant time retraining each department throughout 2017, helping the company reach a Net Promoter Score of 83 during the year.
Lastly, the Communications and Training department was highlighted for its “Two Minute Tuesday” video series, which focuses on go-to-market strategies for marketing solutions and other services—earning the department a Bronze Stevie Award for the “Internal Corporate Communications Program of the Year.”
