mystery product revealed
Headquartered in Random Lake, Wis., Badger Tag & Label has developed an economical synthetic label for use in thermal printers, as well as other types of printing processes. The strong, durable product features an aggressive adhesive, and is conducive to outdoor applications.
The label stock is a 3 mil high-density polyethylene offering excellent direct thermal and thermal transfer print ability. It can also be printed using laser, inkjet and dot-matrix methods, as well as stamping and handwriting. Applying a clear mylar overlay allows printed information to be permanently encased and protected.
The synthetic stock is waterproof; resistant to chemicals, tears and punctures; UV stabilized to eliminate fading; folds without cracking; and withstands temperature extremes from 140° F to -20° F. A label made from the material can be applied to stainless steel, high-density polyethylene, corrugated, wood and powder-coated surfaces.
The product’s quick tack and overall flexibility also enables it to adhere to textured surfaces and mold to an item’s shape.
