Effective June 1, TEAM Concept Printing, Carol Stream, Ill., is authorized and approved to participate in the US Postal Service’s Mail Anywhere program. This stringent program, developed for full-service mailers, dramatically increases the efficiency and effectiveness for direct mail customers.
According to the USPS:
Full-Service mailers have the opportunity to use the same permit at any location via the Mail Anywhere program. Entry into the Mail Anywhere program is limited to mailers who meet the quality thresholds for Full-Service electronic verification.
Mail Anywhere is an advantage for TEAM’s current and future clients who have their own mailing permits at a local post office. Without Mail Anywhere, mail must be entered (mailed or dropped off) at the post office where the permit resides. With Mail Anywhere, TEAM can mail on a client’s permit, and enter it at the Carol Stream post office—a USPS processing plant. TEAM receives a monthly scorecard from the USPS with its mail performance. By surpassing the USPS Mail Anywhere metrics, TEAM achieved this authorization.
Clients directly benefit by TEAM’s adoption of Mail Anywhere in a variety of ways:
- TEAM’s comprehensive facility is located 0.5 miles from the Carol Stream post office. Entering at the Carol Stream post office will save on delivery/shipping costs as compared to mailing from the post office where the permit resides.
- More uniform mail delivery. With TEAM’s central US location, combined with the Carol Stream post office, more consistent in-home delivery will be achieved.
- Improved delivery performance utilizing USPS advanced technology to provide superior mail planning.
To clearly track all your mail activities, TEAM offers clients a portal to track mailings. Metrics include total pieces, scanned, delivered and data of delivery by zip code. Data on previous mailings is also readily available.
Randy Slone, TEAM’s Mail Manager, led the Mail Anywhere initiative. Slone conducted a comprehensive review of all TEAM mailings over the past two years and identified the additional customer benefits of the Mail Anywhere authorization. Once the tangible benefits were identified, Slone identified the enhancements needed to the company's data preparation and production, and developed the implementation plan.
Slone began his 20+ year printing/mail industry career in a small, family-owned printer as the main person in developing their mailing/fulfillment. He has since gained additional experience building and expanding mail operations for commercial printers in northern Illinois prior to joining TEAM. Slone’s experience has led to numerous USPS designations and positions regional and national postal code committees, including the co-chair of the Greater Illinois Postal Customer Council.
