TopForm Software, Norcross, Ga., will provide its customers with the option to use an open relational database for real-time data storage and access. Oracle will be the first supported database, with mySQL and other common database products to follow.
“Our customers requested a more flexible system that would provide greater access to data, and Oracle is that solution,” said Brian Fritsche, president/CEO. “This is our first significant step toward adopting an open architecture that gives customers more control over their business.” On December 27, TopForm will start testing Oracle with one of its premier customers, Baltimor-based Webb/Mason. TopForm anticipates launching the new platform, along with technical support, for general distribution during the first quarter of 2007. Customers will also have the ability to integrate third-party applications, and design custom e-commerce software.
