The Printing Industries of Wisconsin Names Director of the Institute for Graphics and Imaging
Niall Power, president and CEO of the Printing Industries of Wisconsin, Pewaukee, Wis., has designated Hal Hinderliter as director of the Institute for Graphics and Imaging (IGI). IGI is a nonprofit organization offering public workshops, training programs and research for the printing and publishing industries.
Hinderliter is the author of three textbooks, a speaker and a contributing editor at “Graphic Arts Monthly.” Previously, he served as director of the Graphic Communication Institute at Cal Poly State University, as well as director of the Center for Imaging Excellence at the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) and is a National Council on Skills Standards in Graphics Communications advisory board member.
“His previous experience developing and implementing training programs at both Cal Poly and GATF gives us great confidence that IGI will become a leading resource for printers and industry vendors,” commented Timothy J. Burton, president of Burton and Mayer, Inc., Menomonee Falls, Wis. Burton spearheaded the recruitment procedure for hiring.
IGI is located in the Harry V. Quadracci Printing Education and Technology Center on the campus of the Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee, Wis.
