The Sourcing Group (TSG), a top 50 distributor with headquarters in New York, has announced the acquisition of SI Solutions, located in Florence, S.C. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“SI Solutions has long been a leader in the southeastern United States, and its footprint will play a significant role as TSG continues to expand our suite of services throughout North America and beyond," TSG founder and CEO Billy Caan said of the acquisition. "We are thrilled to bring SI Solutions into our family. As a top 25 print distributor, SI Solutions has a proven track record of 45-plus years of providing exceptional printing solutions to its clients. This merger will complement our focus as a leading provider of technology and logistics solutions in managing transactional print, commercial print, direct mail, print and mail programs, labels, packaging, and premiums/ad specialties.”
Rod Morrow, CEO of SI Solutions, explained the thought process behind selling to TSG.
"We wanted to grow our offering nationally and began looking for an organization similar to ours and with a fully integrated coast-to-coast presence,” he shared. “TSG offers our current and future clients better buying power with certified vendor programs, custom software technologies and a unique go-to-market strategy. More than that, TSG aligns itself to our core values and ‘the customer comes first’ mentality.”
Dennis Clemente, founder and president of TSG, also expressed enthusiasm.
"We are excited to work with SI Solutions to grow our organization with proven industry leaders,” Clemente said. “Its sales team has all the experience and talent to take all of us to the next level. Its customer service team is completely aligned with our commitment to do 'whatever it takes to deliver for our customers.' We plan to leverage all of [the company’s] experience and the success it has had through the years as a premier print solutions provider, and incorporate our national resources to provide businesses with state-of-the-art solutions.”
SI Solutions ranked No. 32 on Print+Promo’s 2017 Top Distributors list. The integration of the SI Solutions sales and marketing teams will deliver an extra $17 million in revenue to TSG, bringing the technology provider’s annual revenue to $75 million.
