TKS (Tokyo Kikai Seisakusho, Ltd.) executed the contract with Chiba prefecture in March of 2007 and committed to move their manufacturing base from the previous Tamagawa factory located at Kawasaki City to the KAZUSA Akademia Park in Chiba prefecture.
Kazusa Akademia Park is a leading science and industrial park located in the rich green hills next to Tokyo, which Chiba Prefecture developed for the creation of new industries.TKS has since built our new KAZUSA Techno Center in Kazusa Akademia Park as a replacement of the older Tamagawa Factory, with cutting-edge research and manufacturing capabilities that went to full operation in July 2011.
TKS Kazusa Techno Center covers an area of 105,000 square meters (26 acres). R&D, manufacturing factory as well as several other functions have been built in this large complex. The area is divided into two areas by a road running in the Kazusa Akademia Park, where the Factory building, R&D building, office building, warehouse building and other buildings are located in two adjacent areas as well as parking space for 270 vehicles.
The Factory building, which is the largest of them all consists of a machining facility, assembling facility and product warehouse. Frame machining line, cylinder machining line and gear/roller machining line are all arranged in the machining facility as well as a training school instruction room. Located in the R&D building are the, Engineering department which is the heart of TKS Kazusa Techno Center, R&D department who works for next generation products and administration department.
Also, 35 percent of the land is used as "green" area and an Environment-friendly new power generating system is planned in the near future.
