Tru Art Participates in “Sand in the City” Event

Iowa City, Iowa's first ever “Sand in the City” fundraising event was a huge success thanks to Tru Art Advertising Calendars. The company not only contributed its time to build one of the sand sculptures, but also provided financial resources to the local fundraiser for “Summer of the Arts.”

The turnout was greater than anticipated, with thousands of people viewing sand sculptures over the three-day event. Attendees were entertained by live music and an array of adult- and kid-friendly activities. Judges for the competition included Iowa City Mayor Regenia Bailey and Miss Iowa Chelsea Gauger. First place was awarded to the Big Brothers Big Sisters entry. Tru Art left the event with the “Most Passionate About our Business” award.
