Young Named "Web-to-Print" Expert by PODi
For the second consecutive year, Jim Young, general manager at MSP Digital Direct--a division of Mailing Services of Pittsburgh based in Freedom, Penn.--has been selected as a leading expert in the digital printing and mailing industry by PODi (Print on Demand Initiative). Young will present a case study featuring MSP's proprietary Web-to-Print technology at PODi's Applications Forum that will be held in Las Vegas, Feb. 7-9, 2005.
According to Young, a Web-to-Print solution is a "branded Web-site where users can access document, brochure and direct mail templates. Users are empowered to customize the materials, attach a database for personalization to the recipient, proof the created piece and place and order from the computer."
He will present a case study featuring a Silver Spring, Maryland-based software developer that sells point-of-sale software to the restaurant industry exclusively through independent resellers. Young said that MSP's clients offer resellers a co-op direct mail program to help promote their respective businesses. "The resellers can co-brand the materials with their logos, as well as customize text and personalize the materials with the recipient's name and the name of the business."
