Fueld Films, Parker, Colo., was busy introducing distributors to the next generation of creative solutions. Neither snow nor sleet prevented American Solutions for Business (ASB), Glenwood, Minn., from holding its Extreme American National Sales Conference Feb. 28 through March 4 at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis. In keeping with the theme, Mother Nature dumped 15 inches of snow during an extreme winter storm, cancelling 400 flights at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Still, 400 sales associates participated in daily seminars and workshops lead by industry leaders, vendor partners and ASB personnel. In addition, 200 vendors exhibited at the trade show. Headquartered in Glenwood, Minn., American Solutions for Business (ASB) is completing its 25th year in operation, and has seen a 15 percent increase in net income (YTD) as compared to the previous fiscal year. In the third quarter of 2006, American announced the addition of a number of sales teams from Global DocuGraphix affected by the former company’s bankruptcy filing in July. “Those sales teams are now firmly entrenched with us and have certainly made a positive influence on our success this year,” said COO Craig McLain. American Solutions for Business (ASB), Glenwood, Minn., held it’s National Sales Conference, Aug. 22-27 at Cragun’s Resort and Convention Center near Brainerd, Minn. Celebrating its 25th year in business, ASB adopted the slogan “Humble beginnings, legendary successes.” Nearly 300 sales associates attended, taking part in daily seminars and workshops, as well as a company business meeting. A Vendor Showcase was also held during the event at the Brainerd Civic Center, with nearly 200 vendors taking part. On July 18, commercial print and promotional product distributor Global DocuGraphix, and its subsidiary Global DocuGraphix USA, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in U.S Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Texas (Dallas) Division. In its filing, the company reported its estimated debts to be between $10 million and $50 million. Richard Roberson, a partner with Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, who is representing Global DocuGraphix in its bankruptcy proceedings, said the move was forced because the company’s credit facility and working capital had run out as of July 10, 2006. Both GE Capital and Antares Capital did not renew credit notes that originally came to maturity
