New President / COO for Bernadette Print Group and Jet Envelope

Hazelwood, Missouri-based Bernadette Print Group and Jet Envelope welcomed George Mitschele, Jr., as the companies’ president and COO. Mitschele is responsible for the overall welfare of the corporations, including strategic planning, management recruiting, forming strategic relationships, capital formation and operations reviews and oversight, as well as investor and financial community relations. Mitschele brings years of experience to his new role, having previously worked in various leadership positions at Glatfelter Papers and USA Direct, followed by a COO position at Skelly and Loy. Bernadette Print Group and Jet Envelope are privately owned printing companies, providing services in the commercial, forms and direct marketing sectors.

Bernadette Print Group Acquires Jet Envelope

Headquartered in Hazelwood, Mo., Bernadette Print Group acquired St. Louis-based Jet Envelope effective April 27. Direct mail printing is one of Bernadette Print Group’s specialties, and with the addition of envelope printing capabilities, the company is better able to provide a complete service to its customers. Since 1984, Jet Envelope has been producing high-quality, economically priced printed envelopes and letterhead for the trade only. Its product line includes all sizes of commercial envelopes, in run sizes ranging from 1,000 to more than one million pieces. It has been a year since Hazelwood, Missouri-based Bernadette Business Forms was purchased by local investor J. Paul Behrens, and became Bernadette Print Group. Under his direction, the company has significantly upgraded its facility and equipment. To provide the latest in four-color flexo processes, Bernadette Print Group purchased a new Mark Andy 13" 220 Series flexo press, as well as an Anderson Vreeland digital 20-watt laser plate engraver. Bernadette Business Forms Purchased by St. Louis Businessman

St. Louis-based Bernadette Print Group, formerly known as Bernadette Business Forms, was purchased by J Paul Behrens. Behrens, a local St. Louis businessman, is injecting the company with new energy. He has made investments into new equipment, such as automatic color control systems and register units to improve quality and make ready times, a turret rewind unit for jumbo rolls and an eight-color Mark Andy flexographic printer. In addition, Behrens has appointed Brian Curran as general manager, Barry Korman, former owner of Jet Envelope of St. Louis, as sales manager, and Rick Niehaus as marketing director.
