Foster Adds Mercury Retractable Banner Stands

In an effort to meet increased customer demand for wide format, Foster Manufacturing, Warminster, Pa., has recently announced the addition of Mercury Retractable Banner Stands. This portable and lightweight roller system automatically adjusts the tension—resulting in clean, edge-to-edge visual graphic displays. It is available in three widths, and single- and double-sided displays up to 8' high. Dye-sub fabric, vinyl and other graphics substrates can be easily mounted on the top and bottom with full-length Velcro strips. Graphics are rolled back into the self-contained aluminum case for safe transport and storage.

Newsbrief American Buys CST/Star Assets American Tissue, Happauge, N.Y., has purchased the assets of CST/Star Products, Wheeling, Ill., which recently closed. The purchase includes all of CST/ Star's eight plants, presses and other equipment, accounts receivable and all brands, trademarks and copyrights. The new company, operating under the name American Forms, is led by President and CEO Alan Vosper. American has opened three of the purchased plants—Wheeling, Ill.; Plano, Texas; and Leola, Pa.—employing about 100 people. Approximately 85 of those employees formerly worked for CST/Star.
