Midlothian, Texas-based Ennis announced the acquisition of Trade Envelopes, Carol Stream, Ill., in response to distributor requests for an envelope supplier to service the Midwest and Southeastern United States. Established in 1972, Trade Envelopes offers up to four-color process printing, lithography and flexography capabilities. With two full-service locations—one in Tullahoma, Tenn., and one in Carol Stream, Ill.—Trade Envelopes serves resellers across the nation. The acquisition by Ennis will provide the capital and customer base Trade Envelopes needs to grow and develop the wholesale envelope business in the area east of the Rockies. DMIA’s annual Print Solutions conference and exposition will be held Oct. 3-5 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
