Labels are easy to take for granted. For some consumers, they're nothing more than a vehicle for nutritional information or window dressing for their preferred bottle of wine or jar of gravy. The Organic Trade Association accepted Deer Park, New York-based Overnight Labels as a new associate member. Membership was granted due to the company’s alliance with businesses in the organic trade, as well as its ability to provide environmentally friendly printing processes, including water-based inks, aqueous coatings and environmentally friendly substrates. Overnight Labels supplies labels, shrink sleeves, neck bands, multi-packs and flexible packaging to markets such as natural and organic food, beverage and personal care. Headquartered in Stamford, Conn., Cenveo has completed its previously announced purchase of Deer Park, New York-based Commercial Envelope Manufacturing, one of the largest envelope manufacturers in the United States. Robert G. Burton, chairman and CEO of Cenveo, said the company intends to spend the rest of the year focusing on integrating its recent acquisitions and delivering its financial commitments. Printegra, Peachtree City, Ga., recently acquired National Imprint Corporation (NIC), a manufacturer of envelopes and stationery products based in Deer Park, N.Y. NIC operates three manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania, Illinois and South Carolina with more than 150 employees and revenues greater than $20 million last year. Casey Campbell, Printegra's president and CEO, said, "The acquisition of NIC further increases the value proposition that we offer our customers.
