According to CEB Global's "Gift Cards State of the Union 2013," Americans will spend approximately $135 billion on gift cards in 2015—a cool 18 percent of total holiday spending.

Sales is all about thinking big. Bigger clients lead to bigger profits which lead to bigger vacations, or so the logic goes, and a lot of the time that's true.

Gift-giving. It's ingrained in our cultural consciousness, a key ingredient in the jambalaya that is modern society, right up there with apple pie, Justin Timberlake and fantasy football.

Rewards. Incentives. "You dun good" happy-time present joys. Whatever you want to call them, reward items are a huge part of the promotional products industry, especially when included in some kind of incentives program.
