Print and apparel leader Ennis, Inc. has unveiled the acquisition of a Meteor DP60 Pro digital press from MGI Digital Graphic Technology at its Ft. Scott, Kansas plant.

Ft. Scott, Kansas-based Ward/Kraft has assigned a key Commercial/ShortRun Division sales position to seasoned industry veteran Kim Mesplay.

The company anticipates its stock laser label cut sheets to be the most demanded products in the 2009 offering. The offering includes 14 different formats for distribution centers and direct mail use, an additional 14 stock formats of the company’s patented LaserBand™ products and second sheets and chart labels.

Ward/Kraft, Ft. Scott, Kansas, has announced an investment in six new presses for the Ft. Scott and Fredericktown, Ohio, facilities that will double the company's capacity for its Pressure Seal mailers and integrated products lines. The new presses, which will be operational in the second quarter of this year, follow an investment of $4 million in 2000 for new equipment for the development of plastic cards, promotional products, laser cut sheets, roll products, pattern adhesives, and other specialty products.
