Dayton, Ohio-based WorkflowOne, a provider of print management, distribution and marketing services, has been awarded a print management contract by one of South Florida’s largest children’s hospitals.

Associated Printing Productions Inc. (APPi) captured 27 awards including one Flamingo Award (Prestigious State of Florida First Place Award), 13 Best of Category, 12 Awards of Excellence and one Judges Award at the 25th Annual Florida Print Awards ceremony.

The printing industry's largest and most prestigious statewide graphic arts competition recognized APPi as being among the top printers in Florida as they dominated the competition. The Printing Association of Florida presented the awards to commercial printer APPi during a banquet on August 3, 2012 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Yesterday, Print Professional reported that Miami Lakes, Florida-based commercial printer National Litho LLC, a part of holding company National Communications, had filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and was in buyout negotiations with several companies.

Following the article, Print Professional was contacted by Dave Kochba, vice president of business development for National Lithographic Inc., headquartered in Sterling, Va. He said that his company, which is also known as National Litho, had received several phone calls from readers and customers asking about the story.

Kochba explained that his company is in no way affiliated with the South Florida-based printer, and that business at National Lithographic Inc. continues as normal.
