Question: Can I run more than one company when I buy QuickBooks?
Answer: Yes, and yes, but…
Yes: QuickBooks Pro and Premier allow multiple company files for one flat fee, which makes these two versions of QuickBooks an even more cost-effective accounting software for those running multiple business entities.
Some words of caution—only one company can be open at a time. Make sure you have the appropriate company open when entering data.
QuickBooks Online (not recommended for our industry) does allow for multiple companies, but it charges for each one.
