Is Being a Distributor a Long-Term Business?
Question: I have been a distributor for over 25 years, and would like my daughter to take over my business in the next five years. She is concerned that being a distributor is not a long-term business. What do you think?
Answer: Being an ad specialty distributor is definitely a long-term, lifetime business. It can also be a family affair.
I work with many distributors who have been in the business for decades, and who are successful and active well after the age of 65. Because it is their own business, they have the option to scale back a bit over time if they like or keep going at the same pace.
Studies have shown that people who continue to work beyond traditional retirement age can be healthier both in body and mind.
