BFL&S: How do you think this book can help business owners in general?
Dubner: I think the key is to get creative in your problem solving. Often, the problems that people have identified aren’t even the right problems. And, be willing to entertain solutions from any quarter, not just the obvious ones. Finally, I think it’s often the case that the person who identifies a problem isn’t necessarily the best person to solve the problem—and yet, we usually ask the identifier to solve the problem, as well.
