RR Donnelley Closes $350 Million Debt Offering

RR Donnelley & Sons Company, Chicago, has closed an offering of $350 million aggregate principal amount of 6-1/2 percent Notes due 2023.

As previously announced, RR Donnelley intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include repayment of borrowings under the company's revolving credit facility. 

Cenveo Announces Third Quarter 2013 Results

Cenveo, Inc., Stamford, Conn., announced results for the three and nine months ended Sept. 28, 2013. The reported results include the effect of the acquisition of certain assets of National Envelope on Sept. 16, 2013 while the custom envelope division is reported as a discontinued operation.

Printing Facility to Close, Terminate 150 Employees

Multi Packaging Solutions Inc. plans to close its printing facility in Terre Haute by the end of the year, terminating about 150 employees.

Based in New York City, MPS acquired the printing facility in 2009 from competitor Ivy Hill Corp. It produces a variety of printing and packaging products for the audio and video media markets.

After more than 100 years, the Sappi Paper Mill along the banks of Muskegon Lake (MI) is no more. The plant was brought to the ground in seconds after one large "boom" Sunday morning.

No one who 24 Hour News 8 spoke to was worried about anything going wrong in the implosion. The delay seemed to be the only hiccup in the demolition. After the earth-shaking explosion, greeted by cheers from spectators, the building fell to the north as planned.

Revenue for the quarter, excluding discontinued operations of the Nordic furniture business, was $939 million, which was a decline of 1 percent when compared to the prior year.

PIA Supports Act Designed to Thwart 'Patent Trolls'

Printing Industries of America (PIA) announced its support for the introduction of the Innovation Act of 2013. The act, introduced by House Judiciary Committee chairman Bob Goodlatte and a bipartisan group of co-sponsors, aims to address the recent abuses of the legal system by patent-assertion entities, or "patent trolls."
