A Green Impression

It’s everything a printing company could want in a press—it’s cleaner, greener and more energy-efficient. In July, Glatfelter, based in York, Pa., launched a new technology for carbonless CF rolls, the CleanPressTMCF. The technology is made using a more energy-efficient manufacturing process; the reformulation runs cleaner on Glatfelter’s machines and requires fewer shut downs, requires less clean-up and reduces the amount of waste.

ROTOCONTROL to Unveil RSC Vertical Inspection Slitter/Rewinder

At Labelexpo Europe 2009 in Brussels, ROTOCONTROL will exhibit inspection, slitting, rewinding and die-cutting finishing machines (RSC, and RSI with DRM Turret) along with the EDM200 servo driven flexo overprinter. The expo will be held from Sept. 23 through Sept. 26.

Schober Produces Multi-Layer Products in One-Pass

The central converting drum which is at the heart of the system includes five processing stations to laminate, de-laminate or diecut materials like film and foil, pressure-sensitive paper stock and textiles.

Formax 7100 Series Inserters Offer Modular Design

Dover, New Hampshire-based Formax has introduced the new 7100 Series, high-volume inserters with a modular design to accommodate mailing applications of all sizes. The 7100 Series processes up to 4,500 envelopes per hour and up to 150,000 finished pieces per month. With the flexibility to add up to nine feed stations, the modular design supports a wide range of mailing applications, various envelope sizes and documents with top, middle and bottom address positions.

Formax Enhances Pressure-Seal Technology

Formax, located in Dover, N.H., introduced the FD 2094 and FD 2084, the latest additions to its AutoSeal line, replacing the FD 2092 and FD 2082. Using patented pressure-seal technology, they efficiently process cut-sheet and continuous forms in a mid-volume production environment. Both units are capable of processing up to 400,000 forms monthly at speeds of up to 28,000 forms per hour.
