Rayven, a specialist in laminating, coating and converting services headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., introduced the versatile Any-Pak release liner as a stock item that can be shipped in less than 24 hours. The product was created with the packaging industry in mind for applications involving plastic bags, mailing envelopes, pouches, security bags and more.
Constructed using a 2 mil polypropylene as the substrate and a release coating, the release liners work well with hot-melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives. A printed message on one side of the liner instructs users to remove it to expose the adhesive. It can be used for anything requiring a BOPP release liner, so it is not exclusive to flexible packaging.
Any-Pak release liners are packaged, in stock and ready to ship the same day the orders are placed. Currently, it is stocked in four popular widths—1˝, 1.25˝, 1.5˝ and 1.75˝—all measuring 12,000 feet in length. Additional sizes are available on a custom-order basis.
“We have been selling release liners to the packaging industry since day one, but we decided to take it to the next level by having finished product stocked to reduce lead-times by up to four weeks,” explained Rick Mercado, director of sales for Rayven. “This is a big-time commitment on our part, but our customers will be the true beneficiaries by having quality products shipped within 24 hours from the time they place their order.”
