Stow, Ohio-based MACtac supplied the pressure-sensitive adhesive label materials for the 40 million stamps issued. The stamp, which was dedicated at the American Philatelic Society StampShow 2010, is the ninth issuance in this series that showcases exquisite works of American fine art and crafts.
“MACtac is honored to partner with the USPS in bringing to life one of Winslow Homer’s most recognizable works of art through this commemorative stamp,” said Allison Hazel, marketing manager, MACtac Printing Products. “By supplying the adhesive for this new stamp, we celebrate Homer’s artistry and his beautiful, timeless contributions to American art.”
