The 161,458 sq. ft. plant, located in Santana de Parnaiba, near São Paulo, will be shared with Trelleborg’s Marine Hoses operation, which will focus on specially designed oil hoses for surface and deep-sea application. Thirty percent of employees at the site will be new hires from the local area.
Trelleborg in Brazil
This new facility will add to Trelleborg’s already strong presence in Brazil. In September, Trelleborg opened a new facility in Macaé that will manufacture Trelleborg Offshore’s complete product portfolio, including a wide range of high-performance polymer-based solutions for offshore topside and subsea oil and gas exploration, such as insulation tape and buoyancy products. To support offshore customers in their quest to reach greater subsea depths, the new facility boasts the largest hydrostatic pressure-testing vessel in the world.
