Headquartered in Sharon, Pa., Victor Printing installed an innovative DisplayMaker 72uvx large-format UV printer, capable of printing on media up to 1⁄2" thick.
The flexible, 72"-wide UV printer produces high-quality, high-speed output directly onto uncoated materials, as well as roll-fed media. Typically, the need to laminate and mount—two of the most labor-intensive procedures—is eliminated due to the DisplayMaker’s UV-curable SolaChrome inks. The inks are formulated to print vibrant, high-resolution output that can, on average, withstand harsh outdoor use for up to three years. The cost is generally 35 percent less than laminating and mounting methods.
DisplayMaker 72uvx can be used with virtually any media. It prints directly onto common display boards—such as Gator Board, Fome-Cor, Sintra and CoroPlast—as well as less traditional acrylic, clear-vinyl sheet and plywood materials. While ordinary signage can look washed out in six months or less, true UV-curable inks create cost-effective, durable, vibrant products.
